Broken Strings
Staring at an empty page,
Clicking on my pen,
So much left to say to you,
So many things to mend,
So let me tell you a story,
About two people,
Whose bond in time,
Eventually weakened,
It all started off,
As a simple friendship,
Both unaware,
Of the impending hardships,
Every journey has it's hitches,
So did theirs,
Some days were good,
Others were bad,
They fought constantly,
But always made up,
For in each of their hearts there was a place,
Reserved for the other's trust,
Now I sit here writing this,
Feeling like a hypocrite,
Talking about a great friendship,
That took seconds to break,
2 1/2 months I held a grudge,
And hid away my pain,
Our friendship was supposed to last forever,
I wonder why things changed,
The last time we spoke,
We were both accused,
You wanted to start again,
But like an idiot I refused,
To make things easier,
I tried to erase you completely,
But if you're reading this,
Take it as an apology,
I don't know if I have the courage,
To send this to you,
I suck at apologies and sorting things out,
Well that's something you probably knew.
