Cross-Roads
I'm stuck at a cross-road,
Where I have to choose a path.
How do I pick between,
Two pieces of my heart?
There's so much pain,
Kept inside me,
I'm beginning to go numb,
Why can't anyone see?
Why does it always have to be,
Either this or that.
I cannot make this choice,
I'm about to snap.
I wish someone would come,
and take me by the hand.
To guide me through,
To show me how this ends.
All I want is a chance to be normal,
To have a functioning family.
To build a haven,
around people who love me.
Is that too much to ask?
To have a chance at happiness?
Is it fair?
To leave me with this emptiness.
I'm stuck at a cross-road,
Where i have to choose a path.
I can't make a choice,
I'll just have to wait for this to pass.
